Job Responsibilities

Main job duties of 'coastal sailor' include: Performs all types of work related to mooring of ships to berth, ship, landing stage; Carries out installation on mooring barrels, establishment of moorings by means of boat; Installes and removes bridges from the berth to ship; Gives mooring ends; Cleans the berth and area adjacent to it; Participates in repair and painting of equipment and arrangement of berth; Supervises the condition of mooring and rescue equipment; Takes measures to provide assistance to victims on water and in area of berth.

Rules and procedures for actions related to mooring of vessels; Signals from the ship and from the shore; Purpose and rules of use during mooring rigging, equipment, tools; Time of arrival and departure of vessels handled at the berth; The procedure for performing simple painting and carpentry work; Rules for providing assistance to victims on water.
