Automatic Lathe Operator Job Description

Main job duties of 'automatic lathe operator' include: Positions and fixes the part to be machined on lathe, centering and aligning by the reference points and using special devices to enable machining; Manually rehearse each operation, obeying the machining plan prescriptions, to avoid a high number of initial scraps; Starts the lathe, acting on start, speed, cutting cooling and other commands involved in lathe's operation, to perform the automatic machining of parts; Examines machined parts, using measuring instruments, to check that they match the specifications.
