Employee Duties & Responsibilities
1) Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
2) Present bills and receipts collect payments for goods delivered or loaded.
3) Load unload trucks, vans, or automobiles.
4) Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
5) Turn in receipts money received from deliveries.
6) Maintain records, like vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations.
7) Read maps follow written or verbal geographic directions.
8) Report delays, accidents, or other traffic transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.
9) Sell keep records of sales for products from truck inventory.
10) Drive vehicles with capacities under three tons to transport materials to from specified destinations, like railroad stations, plants, residences, offices, or within industrial yards.
11) Drive trucks equipped with public address systems through city streets to broadcast announcements for advertising or publicity purposes.
12) Use maintain the tools or equipment found on commercial vehicles, like weighing or measuring devices.
13) Perform emergency repairs, like changing tires or installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, or spark plugs.
