1) Diagnoses and treats diseases of heart its functions.

2) Examines patient for symptoms indicative of heart disorders, using medical instruments equipment.

3) Studies diagnostic images electrocardiograph recordings to aid in making diagnoses.

4) Prescribes medications, and recommends dietary activity program, as indicated.

5) Refers patient to Surgeon 070.101-094 specializing in cardiac cases when need for corrective surgery is indicated.

6) May engage in research to study anatomy of diseases peculiar to heart..
