Position Summary:

1) Fabricates, assembles, and repairs photographic equipment except cameras, using handtools power tools.

2) Examines equipment, like photograph printers, print washers, driers straighteners and mounting presses.

3) Replaces defective wood & metal parts and makes minor repairs, like cleaning and tightening connections, soldering and welding broken metal parts and bending installing piping.

4) Lays out framework dimensions on channel and angle stock, using tape measure, square, and scribe and cuts grinds stock to dimensional specifications to fabricate equipment parts, using power saws, sanders, grinders, and files.

5) Assembles frames installs parts according to blueprint specifications, using handtools, like drills, wrenches, reamers, and hole punches.

6) Installs electrical wiring, following blueprints.
