The teaching of computer and communication technology shall purpose at the students developing the ability to work with usual systems and components in computer and communication areas. Across the teaching, students will therefore be given the chance to develop knowledge of systems, units, components, methods and working methods that are used when computers are connected to existing networks. Students should also be given the chance to develop the ability to solve problems, perform troubleshooting and fix errors, both independently and in cooperation with others. The teaching shall develop the students' knowledge of computer security and ability to work with regard to sustainable development. It should also contribute to students developing the ability to meet and communicate with clients and users in a service-oriented way.
The teaching must alternate practical and laboratory elements with theoretical elements. Across practical exercises, students will be given the chance to develop the ability to handle technical equipment. Students must also be given the chance to express themselves both in writing and orally by documenting their work.
