The Meaing of Junior Company

Universities are institutions where people obtain knowledge and prepare to follow the most various professions. A challenge that numerous students and even graduates face is getting their first job chance and reason is lack of experience.

In the 1960s, a group of French students decided they wanted to alter this reality and acquire experience while still at university. So they came up with idea of opening an organization to serve as a laboratory, but one that was real and had real customers. That is how the first Junior Company was created.

In Brazil, the idea arrived in late 1980s, at the Get?lio Vargas Foundation, and spread to institutions in all states. Currently, our country has the most Junior Organizations in world This shows how Brazilian entrepreneurship is strong and should be valued.

Since then, thousands of organizations have been and are created by students all over the world. In fact, numerous of them develop and become profitable enterprises, no more long being tied to an university to function independently, like any another business.

Being part of such an initiative during graduation can bring numerous benefits to students' careers. Instead of leaving college with only the experience obtained in internships, they begin their professional trajectory with a very interesting background of corporate experiences, which is certainly seen as a differential for companies.
