Job duties and responsibilities - are to:

1) Interview applicants records interview information into computer for water, gas, electric, telephone, or cable television system service

2) Talk with customers by phone or in person receives orders for installation, turn-on, discontinuance, or change in service

3) Fill out contract forms, determines charges for service requested, collects deposits, prepares change of address records and additionally issues discontinuance orders, using computer

4) May solicit sale of new or additional services

5) May adjust complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures, like low voltage or low pressure, to designated departments for investigation

6) May visit customers at their place of residence to investigate conditions preventing completion of service-connection orders as well as to obtain contract deposit when service is being used without contract

7) May discuss cable television equipment operation with customer over telephone to explain equipment usage to troubleshoot equipment problems
