Work Duties - are to:

1) Provide routine safety checks of building exterior

2) Keep building plus premises neat clean according to the standards established by the maintenance staff at all times

3) Clean assigned areas of responsibility

4) Regulate heat ventilation as well as air conditioning systems to provide temperatures appropriate to the season plus to insure economical usage of fuel water electricity

5) Work with other custodians on jobs requiring more than one person

6) Share areas cleaning responsibilities to be scheduled around school programs

7) Record acts of vandalism

8) Report need for repairs to the head custodian

9) Assist in the safety of all outside surfaces during freezing temperatures

10) Assist in necessary cleaning painting as well as general repairs to plumbing electrical general mechanical area

11) Remain on call in case of an emergency

12) Assume responsibility for securing the building

13) Keep lighting other energy systems to the minimum required to accomplish the task

14) Arrange furniture equipment as directed

15) Develop an effective level of communication with appropriate personnel
