6) Start pumps, observes pressure flowmeters, and turns valves to regulate flow of product to loading vessel according to loading procedures

7) Signal other pumper-gaugers to open and close hatch valves to gauge, sample, and determine temperature of tank contents

8) Record operating data, like products quantities pumped, storage tank used, gauge readings, and operating time

9) Inspect valves, flanges, manifolds throughout system tightens connections, using handtools

10) Deliver product samples to laboratory affixes product warning placards onto vessel

11) Operate blenders heaters to mix, blend, and heat products

12) May perform variety of tests to define viscosity, specific gravity, and flash point of sample contents.
