Characteristics of the freelance worker

The freelance worker lacks health insurance and compensation in case they lose their job. However, on the other hand, it has more flexible hours and is usually better paid than a permanent employee since it has to cover additional costs when compared to a permanent worker.

By not having a stable income system, the freelancer must know how to anticipate his retirement (through a pension plan ), illnesses that he may have and the temporary decrease in income. From the point of view of the employer, the professional relationship with the freelancer is direct and can improve efficiency in the work entrusted.

It's important to note that the freelancer has to take responsibility for organizing his legal affairs, accounting and contracts, as well as managing all taxes on his own.

One of the most notable advantages of being a freelance worker is that it allows you to set your own work times and do it at your own pace, being yourself your own boss.
