Truck Supervisor Occupation

Job Duties:

  • Supervise and coordinates workers engaged in loading and transporting machinery and industrial equipment, like construction machinery, or field drilling & pumping equipment, tanks, vessels, compressors & pumps for chemical plants, refineries pipeline pump stations
  • Observe installation of old machinery and equipment or studies sizes & weights of new equipment from bills of lading and other specifications and plans procedures for dismantling loading equipment
  • Train workers in rigging hoists and dismantling loading equipment
  • May plan transportation route by consulting road and city maps to make sure clearance and load limits of roads, bridges and overhead obstructions, like power lines & underpasses, utilizing knowledge of state regulations regarding size weight of loads, traffic speeds, and use of clearance lights
  • May supervise maintenance repair of trucks
  • Perform other duties as described under Supervisor any industry Master Title.

Truck Terminal Manager Occupation

Job Duties:

  • Direct coordinates activities of terminal used by trucking concerns as intermediate freight distribution or shipping point
  • Review schedules to ascertain trucking concerns having freight consignments for terminal shipments originating from terminal in order to plan activities
  • Assign workers to specific duties, like loading or unloading trucks, checking incoming & outgoing shipments against bills of ladings and moving freight into out of storage
  • May hire terminal personnel or order workers from union dispatch office
  • May provide garage services for trucks.

Van driver Helper Occupation

Job Duties:

  • Assist Van Driver motor trans. in loading unloading moving van
  • Wrap dishes and fragile items in paper or corrugated cardboard packs them in barrels
  • Roll up rugs, removes pictures from walls and loads furniture into van
  • Arrange articles in truck to form compact load, using ropes and padding to secure goods prevent breakage

Yard Spotter Occupation

Job Duties:

  • Drive trucks or tractors at vehicle parking or docking area to move, position, or park trucks or trailers
  • Drive trucks to and from service department around dock area for motor freight transportation company
  • Spot positions loaded unloaded trailers at assigned dock space for unloading or loading, using tractor
  • Connect loaded semitrailers to tractors for Tractor-Trailer-Truck Driver any industry
  • May service trucks tractors [Gas-And-Oil Servicer motor trans. ]
  • May drive buses along municipal streets to deliver replacement vehicle to operator with disabled vehicle be designated Bus Driver, Garage motor trans. .
