Branner machine Tender Occupation

Job Duties:

  • Tend equipment that applies bran or mixture of sawdust lime to tin plate surfaces to remove palm oil from plates
  • Move controls and valves to regulate speed of conveyor & feed mechanism adjust flow of soda ash solution to wash unit
  • Observe operation to detect faulty feeding of plates into units that brush plate surfaces with bran wash residue from plates
  • Replenish exhausting supply of bran in hopper
  • Inspect plates to make sure removal of palm oil from plates.

Job Duties:

  • Tend equipment to coat iron steel products with corrosion-resistant molten nonferrous metal
  • Suspend metal objects, like pails, shelving, nuts bolts and structural steel from conveyor hooks or places them in wire baskets
  • Immerse objects in chemical solution to clean surface of scale foreign matter
  • Lower objects into tank of ammonium chloride or other flux to protect surface from oxidation facilitate coating
  • Dips objects into tank of molten metal to coat objects, using hoist or conveyor
  • Remove objects from tanks after specified time
  • Place objects, like nuts and bolts, in centrifuge and starts machine to cool objects remove excessive coating
  • Place objects, like shelving structural steel, into water tank or transfers them to storage area to cool
  • Smooth coating, using wire brush file
  • Inspect objects for even and complete coating returns defective objects for reprocessing
  • Scoop dross from tank, using long-handled scoop, pours dross into molds, and weighs molded dross

  • Monitor gauges to verify operational specifications, like solution temperature immersion time
  • Examine products for even complete coating
  • Train new workers in job duties
  • Perform duties as described under Supervisor any industry Master Title.

Job Duties:

  • Tend one or more machines, equipped with series of tanks, that coat wire with corrosion-resistant material, like tin, zinc, or lead
