ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

My job duties were to:

1) Ensure compliance with purchasing and contract management instructions, regulations, policies procedures

2) Record information by entering, transcribing maintaining in written or electronic format

3) Specify the characteristics of selected products, furniture, linen services

4) Determine time, costs, services, resources, or materials needed

5) Communicate regarding purchasing requests, purchase orders, and vendor issues

6) Monitor specifications for equipment, furniture, linens, products or substitute materials

7) Analyze bids for products services

8) Compare prices, specifications delivery dates in order to define the best bid among potential suppliers

9) Process information by categorizing, calculating verifying information or data from all relevant sources

10) Calculate costs of supply requisitions

11) Review purchase orders contracts for conformance to policies

12) Prepare purchase orders, sending copies to suppliers to departments originating requests

13) Compare suppliers invoices with bids purchase orders to verify accuracy as needed

14) Coordinate shipments to make sure orders have been filled correctly and the goods services meet specifications

15) Contact suppliers in order to schedule, coordinating expediting deliveries

16) Resolve issues related to shortages, missed or late deliveries, grievances, claims or other problems with suppliers as appropriate

17) Review purchasing files, reports price lists
