Roles and Responsibilities

My job duties were to:

1) Tend one or more equipment units, like reaction tanks, bleach tanks, wash tanks, filters, dryers, furnaces, and mills to process pigments, like titanium, barytes, bentonite, and iron oxide for use in products, like paint, industrial coating, rubber, plastic, and ink

2) Push buttons on control panel turns valves to start feed of raw materials, like ore or scrap metal, into processing equipment

3) Monitor gauges, dials and recorders adjusts equipment controls to maintain temperatures, pressures and flow of materials according to specifications

4) May perform chemical tests on product to make sure conformance with specifications, using standard test equipment procedures.
