This job description describes core job duties of textile conversion manager occupation.

Main Job Roles / Career Tasks:

1) Directs coordinates activities of firm engaged in purchasing, finishing, and wholesaling textile fabrics, or in finishing fabrics for trade on commission basis.

2) Purchases textile fabrics from mills or receives fabrics from apparel or other finished fabric product manufacturers.

3) Directs coordinates finishing operations, like bleaching, dyeing and printing roller, screen, flock, or plisse techniques , preshrinking, calendering, or napping, according to customer specifications.

4) May direct other chemical finishing treatments of fabric to develop qualities, like water repellency, fire resistance, or mildew proofing..

Minimum Skills Required:

  • Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Manage own time and the time of others.
  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, organization rules, and the democratic political process.
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
