CAREER TASKS - DUTIES, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This job description (JD) describes the core job duties of accountant property occupation:

MAIN JOB ROLES (CAREER TASKS):

1) Identifies keeps record of company owned or leased equipment, buildings, and other property.

2) Records description, value, location and other pertinent information of each item.

3) Conducts periodic inventories to keep records current ensure that equipment is properly maintained.

4) Distributes cost of maintenance to proper accounts.

5) Examines records to define that acquisition, sale, retirement, and other entries have been made.

6) Prepares statements reflecting monthly appreciated depreciated values.

7) Summarizes statements on annual basis for income tax purposes.

8) Prepares schedules for amortization of buildings equipment.

9) Develops recommends property accounting methods to provide effective controls..
