This job description (JD) describes the core job duties of marine clerk occupation:

MAIN JOB ROLES (CAREER TASKS):

1) Compiles records of amount, kind, and condition of cargo loaded on or unloaded from ship.

2) Verifies amount of cargo against lists compiled from bills of lading or shipping manifests.

3) Measures & records dimensions of cargo computes cubic feet required for stowage aboard ship.

4) Records condition of damaged cargo unloaded from ship.

5) May prepare stowage plan showing location of cargo stowed aboard ship or rail car..

* OTHER WORK DUTIES MAY BE DESCRIBED BASED ON THE BUSINESS/INDUSTRY NEEDS FROM - MARINE CLERK - POSITION.

MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED:
