This job description (JD) describes the core job duties of printed circuit designer occupation:

MAIN JOB ROLES (CAREER TASKS):

1) Designs drafts layout for printed circuit boards Pcbs according to engineering specifications, utilizing knowledge of electronics, drafting, and Pcb design.

2) Reviews and analyzes engineering design schematics & supporting documents to plan layout of Pcb components printed circuitry.

3) Confers with engineering staff to resolve design details problems.

4) Drafts detailed drawings [Drafter profess. and kin. Master Title] and composes master layout of design components circuitry.

5) Examines and verifies master layout for electrical mechanical accuracy.

6) May verify accuracy of film reproductions of master layout.

7) May prepare copies of drawings for use in Pcb fabrication, using blueprint or diazo print machine.

8) May generate computer tape for use in photo plotting design onto film, using digitizing equipment..

* OTHER WORK DUTIES MAY BE DESCRIBED BASED ON THE BUSINESS/INDUSTRY NEEDS FROM - PRINTED CIRCUIT DESIGNER - POSITION.
