Contracting for Job Title / Position: Psychiatrist

Job Duties and Responsibilities [are to]:

1) Provide direct psychiatric services through the comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis as well as treatment of patients, including prescribing administering medications

2) Provide professional consultation to staff, participate in staff conferences serve on clinical committees

3) Handle psychiatric emergencies, including mental health hold evaluations court evaluations

4) Provide back-up psychiatric coverage during operating hours

5) Supervise the treatment plans of assigned consumers

6) Consult on medical screen reviews

7) Testify at court hearing of consumers as necessary

8) Participate on quality assurance, educational professional committees as assigned by the Medical/Clinical Director

9) Participate in program development with Division/Team Psychiatrist as assigned

10) Assist with administrative duties as assigned

11) Develop research protocols as approved
